MS RUS ENERGY SOLUTIONS Group has completed the supply and installation of six 1,000 kW gas engine power plants for Nornickel. Each generating unit is based on a Yuchai 16VTD gas engine, coupled with a Leroy-Somer alternator and designed to operate at an output voltage of 6.3 kV.

All six power plants were supplied in containerized configuration and are designed for island-mode operation in the challenging climatic conditions of the Russian Far North. The generating units have been specially engineered for reliable operation at extremely low ambient temperatures, providing autonomous power generation for the customer's facilities without connection to the public utility grid.

MS RUS specialists carried out the on-site installation of the equipment. The company will subsequently perform commissioning and start-up services, followed by comprehensive warranty and after-sales maintenance to ensure the long-term reliable operation of the installed gas engine power plants.
