Stern tubes are supplied in a standard design, ready for installation. Upon customer request, they can be adapted for installation on a specific vessel and secured in the hull using polymer wedges.

Standard assembled stern tubes are equipped with white metal (Babbitt) bearings or composite bearings, depending on the intended application and lubrication type. Our solutions are delivered ready for operation, as bearings and additional equipment are installed at the factory. Installation and alignment are straightforward and require less effort compared to traditional methods.

The bearings feature housings made of standard or malleable cast iron and are lined with tin-based or lead-based Babbitt. All bearings are based on a standard design and can be equipped with various temperature sensors.

Oil-lubricated and water-lubricated composite stern tube bearings are specifically designed for stern tubes. Our bearing line features high operational performance and can be used under both standard and increased load conditions. Bearings can be custom-equipped with additional features to meet specific customer requirements.

Composite bearings are specifically designed for rudders and stabilizers. They feature high operational performance and can be used with oil, grease, or water lubrication, or operate "dry." Bearings can be custom equipped with additional features to meet specific customer requirements.

The spherical self-aligning design ensures easy alignment and reduces wear. The bearing design allows for the optional integration of a cooling system and sensors for temperature and oil level.

Bearings can also be supplied with a waterproof design and in a modification with forced lubrication. Modifications are available for increased shaft load.

Thrust bearings transfer the load from the shaft to the ship's hull, minimizing displacement and reducing stress levels.
The standard modification is designed for axial loads only; upon request, bearings resistant to both axial and radial loads can be supplied. The oil circulation and cooling system can be a self-contained system with an integrated cooler or an external pump and cooling unit.
Thrust bearings can be equipped with a fully functional oil level and temperature monitoring system, allowing for easy condition tracking.

Stern Tube Seal
Oil-lubricated external and internal stern tube lip seals consist of the following main components: housing, wear-resistant sealing rings, and a sleeve.
The sealing rings are made of artificial rubber (Nitrile®). The sleeve provides a sliding surface for the sealing rings and protects the propeller shaft from wear.

Oil-lubricated lip seals can also be used for steering gears and thrusters.

Shaft Sleeves
Sleeves are made of alloyed corrosion-resistant steel designed for long-term operation in seawater.

Liners
Custom liners can be manufactured according to customer drawings.

The seals are suitable for all types of vessels. Split components allow for seal maintenance and repair without shaft removal. These operations can also be performed afloat using an inflatable seal. Key components are made of corrosion-resistant materials and ensure ease of maintenance.

Oil quality maintenance systems are designed to purify oil within the system to ensure extended equipment service life.

The range of hydraulic couplings includes flange couplings that connect a shaft to a gearbox, engine, or another shaft, and couplings designed to join two standard shafts.

Hydraulic bolts are designed for simple flange connections with high torque transmission. High-quality bolts maintain joint rigidity under the most demanding operating conditions. They are easy to install and remove and can be reused.
